The Advertiser has been passed footage of the terrifying fight, which happened in Pemdevon Road, Broad Green, last Friday night.
Though the knife blows were landed off camera, witnesses told the Advertiser that the victim was stabbed five times – in the shoulder, side and chest.
The victim was rushed to Croydon University Hospital by a kind driver. The ambulance did not arrive until more than 15 minutes after the first blows were struck. He has since been discharged, while police are yet to make any arrests.

TWO men who ran a cocaine-dealing gang, using friends and girlfriends as drug runners, have been jailed.
Layne Campbell, 21, and Danny Back, 25, arranged drug deals on the Roundshaw Estate in Wallington using their mobile phones but were caught after detectives watched them handing over 33g of cocaine to their runners.
At Croydon Crown Court on Friday, September 25, they and four other women were sentenced for conspiracy to supply Class A drugs.
The court heard how one of the women, Campbell's girlfriend, Louise Tolan, 38, took the 95 per cent pure cocaine back to her home in Chaucer Gardens, Sutton North, where she had young children, and sold it to a client.
