Our objective with this campaign is to raise awareness of the issues surrounding crime in the local area (Croydon), whether its Gun/Knife crime, Burglaries or Gang Crime and how crime affects families, Young people and Elderly people across the Croydon borough and how we can prevent any more crime happening.

Length of Film: The Length of the film is going to be around 10-15 minutes long to show a wide range of people and their opinions about the issue.

Film Completion: 08/01/16

Production Team: The Key people within the production of the film will be me as I will be doing this as an individual short film. The main location for this film will be the Croydon High street as that is where you will see a lot of the people that live within the local community.

Key Messages, Stories and points that you wish to communicate: The Key message I want to communicate across to people, is that Croydon can be a safe place if we all work as a community to make it into a safe place and that not everyone can be safe if we don’t work together. I would like to ask people whether they have any stories that they wish to tell about when they have been affected by gangs and crime, as this would show a really personal view of Croydon.

How you intend to use the film? (Promotional, Educational, Brand Awareness, etc…):  I intend to use the film for educational purposes to show people that Croydon can be a safe place if we work together to make it a safe place.

Target Audience: My target audience will be people aged 15 and above, Families who have at least 1 Child and elderly people.

Music (What general feel/ambience of music would you use? Is there a specific song you want? Is the song Copyright cleared?): I would want to use music that might make the audience feel relaxed, Calm throughout the background of the film to make the music relate to the questions that I ask people.

Archive (Is there media that is already captured that you would like in the film?): I would like to images of statistics of recent surveys of crime in Croydon to make it more factual and give people more facts about the Croydon neighbourhood against other boroughs. I would also like to use some of the videos of the London Riots to show how bad crime can result to when there is a lack of police officers on the streets.
